VDL Mast Solutions installs poles for a key traffic connection
On behalf of the Municipality of Rotterdam, VDL Mast Solutions successfully completed the installation of new whip poles and gantries at the busy Kralingseplein. This major traffic junction is one of the most important connections in the region, linking Rotterdam, Capelle aan den IJssel, and the A16/Brienenoord Bridge.
With the installation of these poles and gantries, the Kralingseplein infrastructure has been made future-proof once again and now meets the highest standards of quality and traffic safety.

Complex installation on a busy traffic hub
Kralingseplein is an intensively used roundabout with a high volume of heavy traffic. During installation, the junction had to remain fully accessible, adding an extra layer of complexity. Through careful planning, tight coordination, and flexible execution, the installation of the new whip poles and gantries was completed with minimal disruption for road users.
